About the role
We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead a 12-month capital mining project based in Oggies. The role involves overseeing the full project lifecycle from study phase through commissioning, ensuring delivery on schedule, budget and safety standards.
Key responsibilities
- Develop detailed project scope, execution plan and schedule with key milestones.
- Prepare budget estimates, cash-flow forecasts and investment committee letters for capital approval.
- Identify long-lead items, procurement risks and coordinate engineering, procurement, construction and commissioning activities.
- Manage contractors and suppliers, and facilitate risk assessments, HAZOPs, constructability and safety reviews.
- Ensure compliance with mine standards, legal and engineering requirements.
- Track progress, cost, quality, safety and scope changes throughout the project.
- Oversee commissioning, performance testing, defect close-out and final handover.
Required profile
- Mining Engineer qualification.
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
- Minimum 15 years of experience delivering capital projects from study phase to commissioning.
- Proven background in conveyor tie-in projects and underground CV systems.
