Professional Nurse - Theatre Scrub

About the role

Mediclinic Paarl is seeking a Professional Nurse – Theatre Scrub to deliver safe, comprehensive and quality nursing care according to the Scope of Practice. This is a permanent position within a multi‑professional team in an operating theatre environment.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver quality nursing care in collaboration with a multi‑professional team.
• Identify, prevent and manage risks to ensure patient safety.
• Facilitate a positive patient experience by creating a conducive environment.
• Provide accurate and comprehensive records of all nursing interventions.
• Create a learning environment that builds staff competence.
• Ensure that all utilised stock and equipment are accurately charged.

Required profile

• Essential education: Degree or Diploma in General Nursing.
• Desired education: Postgraduate Certificate/Diploma in Operating Theatre Nursing Science.
• Essential experience: Minimum 1 year post‑graduate qualification experience in an operating theatre.
• Desired experience: 3 years post‑graduate qualification experience in an operating theatre.

• Computer literate (Microsoft Office).
• Develop/modify a nursing care plan.
