Professional ICU Nurse

About the role

Mediclinic is seeking a Professional ICU Nurse to join its multidisciplinary team. The role involves delivering safe, comprehensive, and high‑quality nursing care to patients in the intensive care unit, while collaborating closely with physicians and allied health professionals.

Key responsibilities

• Provide quality nursing care in partnership with a multi‑professional team.
• Identify, prevent and manage risks to ensure patient safety.
• Facilitate a positive patient experience by creating a conducive environment.
• Maintain accurate and comprehensive records of all nursing interventions.
• Support staff competence through a learning environment.
• Ensure proper charging of all utilised stock and equipment.

Required profile

• Degree or Diploma in General Nursing (essential).
• No prior experience required; 1 year post‑graduate qualification experience preferred.
• Basic Life Support certification (ACLS, ATLS, PALS) for specialised wards.
