Production Supervisor – Manufacturing

About the role

The Production Supervisor will lead a multi‑skilled garment production line at Prestige Clothing in Epping. You will ensure the line runs efficiently, meets hourly targets, and delivers high‑quality products on schedule.

Key responsibilities

• Identify training needs to develop a multi‑skilled production line.
• Attend pre‑production meetings and ensure line changeovers are completed quickly.
• Set up the line according to the line‑balancing sheet and perform line balancing for full staff utilisation.
• Monitor hourly targets, follow the Production Plan, and report any deviations.
• Minimise downtime by reporting faulty equipment immediately and recording downtime accurately on the MIS.
• Ensure bundle sheet information matches actual cutwork delivered to the line.
• Maintain WIP levels, keep minimum garments on workstations, and return completed trims to the trim store.
• Report non‑conformances, enforce quality standards, and ensure styles are offline 24 hours before the ASN date.
• Discipline employees for misconduct or poor performance and conduct capacity checks to boost performance.

Required profile

• Minimum education: Grade 10.
• At least one year of supervisory experience, preferably in the clothing industry.
• Clear criminal record and reliable references.
• Knowledge of garment construction.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (desirable).
