Product Manager – HP Consumer

About the role

Vela Personnel is seeking a Product Manager for HP Consumer products within an ICT distribution environment. The role bridges the gap between HP’s product portfolio and the business, driving profitability, stock optimisation and sales performance.

Key responsibilities

• Achieve monthly GP, sell‑in, sell‑out, stock and aged‑stock targets in line with HP and Pinnacle requirements.
• Manage OTB, inventory weeks, budgets and logistics to maintain optimal service levels.
• Lead weekly sales meetings, resolve stock‑related issues and support the sales team with quotations and commercial documentation.
• Maintain ERP data, including product codes, pricing and agreements, and produce regular performance reports.
• Reconcile tactical accounts payable, allocate vendor credits and manage disputes in accordance with finance governance.
• Build and sustain relationships with vendors, retailers, customers and internal stakeholders.

Required profile

• Matric with mathematics; tertiary qualification or diploma in Sales, Marketing or Finance is an advantage.
• Minimum 3 years’ experience as a Product Manager in ICT distribution or a related target‑driven environment.
• Proven track record of sales success and experience in logistics, stock management and vendor liaison.
• Strong analytical, organisational and communication skills with attention to detail.

Required skills

• Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Excel (formulas, pivot tables, V‑LOOKUP).
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Outlook and PowerPoint.
• Experience maintaining ERP systems and handling product pricing structures.
