Procurement Specialist

About the role

The Finance team is looking for an experienced Procurement Specialist to support the Procurement Manager in delivering strategic sourcing initiatives, managing supplier relationships and ensuring governance across multiple commodity categories.

Key responsibilities

• Support development and implementation of procurement strategies and identify cost‑saving opportunities.
• Manage sourcing activities, tender processes and supplier onboarding across several commodity groups.
• Build and maintain strong supplier relationships, monitor performance and SLA compliance.
• Coordinate supplier reviews, contract renewals and ensure compliance with company policies and B‑BBEE requirements.
• Maintain the approved supplier database, assist with spend analysis, savings reporting and procure‑to‑pay processes.
• Work closely with internal stakeholders, Legal and Risk teams on contracts, insurance renewals and audits.

Required profile

• Diploma or degree in Procurement, Supply Chain, Commerce or related field.
• 3–5 years of experience in procurement or strategic sourcing.
• Proven ability to develop sourcing strategies, negotiate and manage supplier relationships.
• Strong understanding of procurement governance, purchasing processes and contract management.
• Advanced analytical and reporting skills with the ability to work under pressure.
