Printer Operator – Cape Town

About the role

An opportunity exists for a Printer Operator to join the DTP department at the N1 City branch in Cape Town. The role requires high ethics, integrity and alignment with PathCare values while delivering high‑quality printed materials.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate incoming printing requests and respond to urgent enquiries
• Prioritise order slips and assign print tasks to the relevant production line
• Take new orders, resolve queries and negotiate delivery timelines over the phone
• Operate both the duplicator (Duplo) and laser printers (Toshiba)
• Set up and print personalised forms using CorelDRAW, Word and PDF
• Operate the guillotine to trim books to specifications
• Stack and bind printed sheets into the bookbinder
• Perform label printing and maintain machinery
• Dispatch forms and labels

Required profile

• Grade 12 (Matric) qualification
• Basic computer literacy (Microsoft Office and Adobe Acrobat Reader)
• Knowledge of CorelDRAW and Meditech (advantageous)
• Experience in digital printing or fast‑paced copy‑shop environment (advantageous)
• Ability to train newly appointed staff
• Client‑focused with excellent attention to detail
• Strong problem‑solving and initiative
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work under pressure, independently and in a team
• Fluency in English and understanding of Afrikaans
• Willingness to work shifts, weekends and public holidays
