Patient Administration Manager

About the role

The Patient Administration Manager will lead the Patient Administration Department at Mediclinic Worcester, ensuring that all accounting processes and procedures are correctly followed. This role is critical for optimizing revenue, cash conversion and the settlement of accounts within the hospital.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and manage the department’s staff.
• Oversee the patient administration management process.
• Identify and mitigate departmental risks.
• Distribute relevant information to stakeholders.
• Control and manage the department’s budget and finances.

Required profile

• Grade 12 with a tertiary qualification and experience in debtors/finance.
• Minimum five years of debtors experience.
• At least five years in a managerial or supervisory role.
• Proven experience in the full patient administration environment.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite.
• Experience using B2B Lookup Phase II and the Debtpack Enquiry application.
• Knowledge of the AS400 patient administration system.
• Ability to manage financial budgeting, ROI calculations and debt recovery.
• Understanding of clinical codes management and audit principles.
