Paralegal – Finance (12‑month Fixed‑Term)

About the role

In this role you will provide legal practical guidance and market insight, reviewing documents, undertaking legal research, drafting content and maintaining trackers. The position is a 12‑month fixed‑term contract.

Key responsibilities

• Review new and existing content for quality and legal accuracy, recommending process improvements.
• Monitor developments and update trackers of consultations, cases and dates.
• Draft practical guidance materials such as FAQs, practice notes, precedents, checklists and trackers.
• Conduct legal research and liaise with subject‑matter experts within the Practical Guidance practice area.
• Support initiatives to grow and improve the Lexis+ offering.

Required profile

• Degree in Law or equivalent experience.
• Interest or experience in finance law, including banking, insolvency, insurance and financial services.
• Willingness to work shift hours (Mon‑Fri 10 am‑6 pm Jun‑Oct; 11 am‑7 pm Nov‑Mar, SAST).
• Strong attention to detail and quality‑oriented focus.
• Excellent research and writing abilities.
• Good understanding of legal issues, procedures and content types.
• Ability to think creatively, manage multiple tasks and meet strict deadlines.
• Effective communication skills for senior stakeholders.
• Innovative problem‑solving and collaborative mindset.
• Comfort with social media and new technology.
