About the role
The Packaging Operator will safely run and maintain packaging equipment in a fast‑moving FMCG environment. You will be responsible for delivering high‑quality output while adhering to production plans and safety standards.
Key responsibilities
- Operate manual and automatic packaging machines according to standard procedures.
- Interpret and implement the shift production plan.
- Monitor process quality and productivity, taking corrective action when needed.
- Track and report process data, managing PIMS and POMS systems.
- Use OFR triggers and contribute to AB reports.
- Maintain a safe and healthy work environment.
Required profile
- Experience in a packaging hall, preferably within the FMCG sector.
- Understanding of health, safety and labour legislation.
- Strong work ethic with a focus on quality and performance.
- Minimum Grade 12 education; post‑matric or National Diploma preferred.
- Completed on‑the‑job training (minimum 9 months) and SKAP certification within 12 months.
