About the role

The Operating Department Assistant works as a scrub practitioner, circulator and anaesthetic assistant under indirect supervision of a professional nurse, and provides assistance in the recovery room under direct supervision. The role is essential for safe, quality patient care within the theatre environment.

Key responsibilities

Continuously deliver safe, quality patient care in collaboration with the multi‑disciplinary team according to theatre standards.
Ensure effective peri‑operative preparation for allocated theatre lists.
Adhere to infection prevention and control principles to mitigate clinical risks.
Optimize utilisation of equipment and pharmaceutical stock to minimise financial risks.

Required profile

Operating Department Assistance Diploma (essential).
No minimum experience required.
