Night Auditor – Hotel Front Desk (Night Shift)

About the role

The Stellenbosch Hotel is seeking a Night Auditor to manage revenue control and front‑desk operations during the overnight shift. You will ensure all daily financial transactions are accurately recorded, assist guests with enquiries and reservations, and contribute to a smooth and pleasant guest experience.

Key responsibilities

• Verify that all room charges are correct and reconcile daily revenue reports.
• Audit, balance and report cash and credit‑card transactions in line with company guidelines.
• Process guest check‑outs, accept final payments and ensure guest satisfaction.
• Handle front‑desk duties, answer phones and respond to face‑to‑face guest queries.
• Assist with reservation enquiries and maintain accurate guest records.
• Prepare and distribute revenue reports to stakeholders.
• Monitor property safety, report incidents promptly and follow emergency procedures.

Required profile

• Matriculation (high school) qualification.
• Valid driver’s licence.
• Hospitality qualification or equivalent.
• Minimum 2 years experience as a night auditor or night receptionist.
• Ability to work night shifts from 23:00 to 07:00.
• Strong aptitude for figures, data interpretation and financial controls.

Required skills

• Opera Cloud experience (essential).
• Proficiency with MS Office / MS365.
• Experience using POS systems.
• Basic accounting knowledge.
