MRP Zone Specialist – Raw Materials Planning

About the role

The MRP Zone Specialist supports long‑term planning of raw materials within the AFR zone, ensuring inventory policy compliance, cash‑flow targets and service levels are met. The role collaborates across procurement, production, finance and inventory teams to optimise material availability.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, implement and manage the MRP strategy for the AFR zone to optimise raw‑material planning and procurement.
• Monitor inventory performance against zone and global targets such as DIO, CWC, Materials OOR and Raw Materials SCOH.
• Manage inventory valuation on the balance sheet and implement strategies to reduce holding costs.
• Utilise MRP systems and software to analyse data, identify trends and make data‑driven decisions.
• Coordinate with internal stakeholders to resolve material availability, quality or delivery issues.
• Collaborate with Procurement to stay informed on market trends, regulatory changes and potential risks.
• Prepare regular reports and presentations on key performance metrics and supply‑chain insights for senior leadership.
• Support the Zone LCP as a Pillar Owner, ensuring inventory policy is up‑to‑date and reporting tools are effectively used.

Required profile

• 3‑year Bachelor degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics or a related field.
• 1‑2 years of planning experience (advantageous).

Required skills

• Advanced Excel capabilities.
• Experience with MRP systems and related software.
