MinePlan Engineer I

About the role

Hexagon Autonomous Solutions is looking for a MinePlan Engineer I to ensure the effective operation of its mine planning software at customer sites across South Africa. The role focuses on delivering high‑level technical support, troubleshooting complex issues and optimising solutions to improve safety, productivity and efficiency in mining operations.

Key responsibilities

• Provide expert troubleshooting and timely solutions for MineSight software worldwide.
• Adhere to support schedules, ensuring clients receive prompt assistance.
• Serve as primary contact for customers, collaborating with the technical support team.
• Take ownership of issues through resolution or appropriate escalation.
• Participate in after‑hours on‑call support.
• Follow and improve technical support processes.
• Create FAQs and self‑service videos.
• Inform sales teams of potential customer issues and service opportunities.
• Document defects and enhancement requests for product development.
• Maintain case documentation and reporting standards.

• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
