Mid-Level Interior Designer – Cape Town

About the role

Exciting opportunity for a Mid‑Level Interior Designer to join a well‑established, creative interior design practice in Cape Town. The role involves developing concepts, preparing detailed technical drawing packages, producing high‑quality presentation material and contributing to the delivery of retail and interior projects.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and contribute to creative interior design concepts.
• Produce full detailed working drawing packages, including floor plans, interior elevations, electrical and lighting layouts, and technical documentation.
• Create detailed joinery drawings for manufacturing and fabrication.
• Generate compelling 3D perspective visuals and renderings.
• Compile sample boards, mood boards and presentation material for client meetings.
• Assist with project coordination and design development across various stages.
• Ensure work is executed accurately, efficiently and in line with project deadlines.
• Collaborate effectively with internal teams while managing independent responsibilities.

Required profile

• Recognised Interior Design degree or diploma.
• Strong proficiency in AutoCAD (essential) and SketchUp.
• Experience producing highly detailed technical working drawing packs and joinery drawings for manufacture.
• Excellent concept development and creative thinking abilities.
• Highly organised, detail‑oriented and proactive with strong problem‑solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
