About the role
The Ramotshere Moiloa Local Municipality seeks five part‑time members for its Financial Disciplinary Board. The board provides independent advice to the council on investigations of alleged financial misconduct and supports disciplinary decision‑making.
Key responsibilities
- Advise the Accounting Officer and municipal management on investigatory matters.
- Respond to the Council on issues raised by the Auditor‑General South Africa (AGSA).
- Conduct preliminary investigations to assess whether allegations are founded and recommend if a full investigation is warranted.
- Determine if allegations are frivolous, vexatious, specious or obviously unfounded.
- Prepare and submit reports with recommendations to the Mayor, Council or Accounting Officer.
Required profile
- Extensive knowledge of performance‑management matters in local government.
- Extensive knowledge of financial misconduct procedures and criminal proceedings.
- Expertise in criminal investigation.
