Marketing Assistant

About the role

We are looking for a proactive Marketing Assistant to join our busy commercial team in the Southern Suburbs of Cape Town. This full‑time position offers the chance to kick‑start a marketing career by supporting a range of campaigns, digital initiatives and brand activities in a fast‑moving environment.

Key responsibilities

• Support the execution of marketing and brand plans.
• Coordinate marketing campaigns and promotions.
• Prepare marketing reports and presentations.
• Maintain marketing data, records and spreadsheets.
• Assist with digital marketing and social media activities.
• Liaise with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
• Monitor campaign performance and market trends.
• Provide general administrative support to the marketing team.

Required profile

• Grade 12 / Matric.
• Relevant Marketing or Business Diploma/Degree, including Digital Marketing.
• Minimum three years in a busy office‑based role.
• Experience in sales, marketing, distribution or consumer products is advantageous.
• Valid driver’s licence and own transport.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail and numerical accuracy.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
• Ability to achieve at least 60 % in an Excel competency assessment.
