Marketing and Social Media Coordinator

About the role

We are seeking a Marketing and Social Media Coordinator to join a fast‑growing digital marketing agency in Cape Town. The role is based on‑site and focuses on planning, executing and optimising high‑performance social media campaigns, primarily on Meta platforms, while collaborating closely with SEO, design and client teams.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement monthly social media content plans aligned with client objectives.
• Create compelling copy for organic and paid social posts.
• Manage, optimise and report on Meta advertising campaigns.
• Coordinate scheduling and publishing across all social channels.
• Analyse campaign performance data and provide actionable insights.
• Liaise with clients for content approvals and strategic direction.
• Work with SEO specialists to ensure social strategy supports search goals.
• Stay up‑to‑date with Meta updates, AI‑driven search and broader digital trends.

Required profile

• Relevant tertiary qualification in Marketing, Communications, Journalism or related field.
• 3‑5 years of agency experience in a similar role.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English; Afrikaans is a plus.
• Commercially minded, detail‑oriented and able to juggle multiple projects.
• Proactive problem‑solver with a curiosity for emerging digital technologies.

Required skills
