Legal Counsel Professional – Kempton Park

About the role

A leading multinational organisation is seeking an experienced Legal Counsel Professional to provide strategic legal support across the business and manage key legal, commercial and regulatory matters.

Key responsibilities

• Draft, review and negotiate commercial contracts and agreements.
• Advise on contractual risk, tenders and business transactions.
• Provide legal support to Commercial, Operations, Finance, Procurement and HR.
• Manage litigation, disputes and external legal counsel.
• Support M&A, corporate restructuring and governance matters.
• Advise on employment law, compliance and regulatory requirements.
• Maintain legal policies, templates and governance processes.
• Monitor legislative changes and advise the business accordingly.

Required profile

• LLB or relevant legal qualification and admission as an attorney or comparable legal practitioner.
• 5–10+ years of corporate or in‑house legal experience.
• Strong commercial contract drafting and negotiation experience.
• Solid knowledge of South African law and regulations.
• Experience in litigation, governance, compliance and employment law.
• Logistics, supply chain, freight forwarding or multinational experience is advantageous.
• Strong commercial judgement and stakeholder‑management skills.
