Legal Advisor

About the role

We are a progressive training company specialising in compliance training for the financial services sector. We are seeking an experienced Legal Advisor to provide legal guidance, ensure regulatory compliance, and support commercial and labour matters across the organisation.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure organisational compliance with current South African legislation and regulatory requirements.
• Draft, review, and manage contracts and other legal documentation.
• Represent the organisation in labour, litigation, and commercial matters.
• Provide legal advice on potential liabilities and risk exposure.
• Conduct legal research and deliver guidance to senior management as required.
• Support the Legal Manager with compliance initiatives and other legal projects.

Required profile

• LLB degree.
• Minimum 5 years post‑admission legal experience.
• Strong knowledge of South African legislation and corporate compliance.
• Excellent drafting and contract review abilities.
• High attention to detail, strong analytical skills, and ability to meet deadlines.
