Leading Hand – Civil Construction

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Civil Leading Hand to join a long‑term subdivision project in Morayfield, Brisbane. The role starts immediately and involves supervising a small crew on a daily basis, ensuring high standards of quality, safety, and productivity.

Key responsibilities

• Direct and supervise day‑to‑day work operations for a crew of 4‑6 contractors.
• Maintain high standards for quality, occupational health & safety, and environmental compliance.
• Coordinate construction activities, allocate daily tasks, and manage resources.
• Ensure company objectives and professional standards are upheld.
• Operate plant and machinery when required, provided the appropriate ticket is held.

Required profile

• Valid driver’s licence and own transport.
• Current White Card.
• Prior experience in civil construction, preferably on subdivision or urban projects.
• Strong understanding of curb, channel, drainage and road works (highly desirable).
• Ability to read and interpret construction plans.
• Excellent safety awareness, reliability and the capacity to work with minimal supervision.

Required skills

• White Card certification.
• Ticketed machine operation.
• Plan reading and interpretation.
