Junior Mechanical Engineer – Contracts & Package

About the role

We are looking for a motivated Mechanical Engineer to join a leading engineering and project execution organisation in the mining and mineral processing sector. The role focuses on contract administration, package engineering and support for large‑scale capital equipment projects.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in the preparation, review and management of contracts and package specifications for capital projects.
• Coordinate with procurement, manufacturing and fabrication teams to ensure timely delivery of equipment.
• Support project execution activities, including documentation, QA/QC compliance and client communications.
• Maintain project schedules using MS Project and track progress against milestones.
• Contribute to the development of technical reports and project documentation.

Required profile

• National Diploma, BTech or BEng in Mechanical Engineering.
• 1–3 years of experience in project execution, OEM, EPC, manufacturing or mining environments.
• Familiarity with equipment supply, fabrication processes and capital‑project workflows.
• Strong communication and stakeholder‑management abilities.
• Client‑facing experience is advantageous.
