Junior Maintenance Technician

About the role

We are looking for a recently qualified Millwright, Electrical or Mechatronics professional to join our fast‑paced manufacturing plant in Germiston. This junior position offers hands‑on experience supporting both electrical and mechanical maintenance while developing your technical expertise.

Key responsibilities

• Support electrical and mechanical maintenance activities.
• Attend to breakdowns and equipment faults efficiently.
• Conduct inspections and preventative maintenance.
• Assist with equipment installations and machinery maintenance.
• Ensure minimal disruption to production processes.
• Maintain safe working practices and housekeeping standards.
• Perform maintenance tasks as directed by management.

Required profile

• Minimum qualification in Electrical, Millwright or Mechatronics.
• Millwright Trade Test with limited or no post‑qualification experience.
• Experience with hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
• Working knowledge of PLC and HMI systems.
• Basic computer literacy.
