Junior Credit Analyst

Lula is looking for a Junior Credit Analyst to join our Credit Underwriting team. You will play an integral role in supporting and optimising our credit approval process. Key responsibilities

• Evaluating clients’ credit and financial data to determine lending risk and recommend outcomes for existing clients.
• Preparing basic credit risk notes (Credit Ticketing).
• Collaborating with the credit management team to maintain and enhance decision‑making processes and improve portfolio performance.
• Generating ideas and solutions to meet customer needs.
• Handling multiple ad‑hoc tasks daily while maintaining high accuracy.
• Limited direct customer interaction to streamline in‑progress credit applications and perform underwriting overrides when needed.
• Demonstrating solid understanding of the credit lifecycle, including collection processes.
• Developing deep knowledge of the lending platform to support effective decisions.
• Participating in ad‑hoc projects to support team objectives.

The skills and experience we’re looking for

• Matric certificate or equivalent.
• Bachelor of Commerce in Administration, Operations or Finance.
• 2‑3 years experience in a credit environment, preferably within a financial institution.
• Familiarity with CRM tools such as Zendesk.
• Proven ability to handle multiple tasks concurrently.
• Passion for delivering exceptional customer experience.
