About the role
The Amahlathi Local Municipality, in partnership with the Eastern Cape Office of the Premier, is offering a six‑month Infrastructure Skills Development Programme for qualified civil and electrical engineering students. Selected trainees will be placed on‑site with consulting and construction firms working on the Small‑Town Revitalisation programme and will receive a monthly stipend of R9 000 inclusive of site allowance and travel.
Required profile
- Certified copy of academic certificates or latest results (must have completed theoretical studies).
- Certified copy of South African Identity Document.
- Proof of residence and residency certificate from the relevant Ward Councillor.
- Unemployed status and no participation in other internship or graduate programmes.
- Willingness to work on‑site, travel and possess reliable personal transport.
What we offer
- Monthly stipend of R9 000 (inclusive of site allowance and travel).
- Practical on‑site experience in civil and electrical engineering projects.
