Group Structure & Tax Specialist – CA(SA)

About the role

A leading short‑term insurance business is looking for an experienced Group Structure & Tax Specialist to join its executive finance team. Reporting directly to the CFO, you will support the group’s shareholder structures, international entities, tax obligations and property portfolio within a complex multi‑entity environment.

Key responsibilities

• Manage reporting, compliance and tax administration across multiple insurance entities.
• Prepare and review management accounts and financial reporting packs.
• Ensure compliance with local and international tax regulations.
• Oversee trust administration, annual financial reporting and liaison with trustees and offshore service providers.
• Coordinate regulatory submissions, tax returns and ownership disclosures.
• Assess implications of group‑structure changes and support strategic decision‑making.

Required profile

• CA(SA) qualification.
• Proven experience in the short‑term insurance industry.
• Strong exposure to tax, financial reporting and regulatory compliance.
• Experience working within complex or multi‑entity structures.
• Knowledge of South African tax legislation and governance frameworks.

Required skills

• In‑depth knowledge of South African tax legislation.
• Understanding of trust and offshore entity administration.
• Ability to navigate multi‑jurisdictional governance and compliance requirements.
