Group Parts Logistics Supervisor – automotive

We are seeking a Group Parts Logistics Supervisor for our automotive division in Pretoria. The role involves overseeing inventory, sourcing, import logistics and managing supplier and freight forwarder relationships to ensure timely delivery and service level targets.

• Monitor inventory performance, manage demand and backorders, optimise stock levels and achieve service level targets.
• Analyse air‑freight costs, manage excess and obsolete inventory and coordinate supplier claims to improve cost efficiency.
• Produce inventory, demand, service level and performance reports to support business decision‑making.
• Ensure compliance with ISO 9001/VDA standards, participate in audits and drive continuous process improvement.
• Lead, coach and develop a team of analysts to achieve operational excellence.

The ideal candidate holds a diploma in Purchasing, Inventory Management, Supply Chain or a related field, with 4‑5 years’ experience in inventory management or logistics within a manufacturing or automotive environment. Knowledge of ISO 9001/VDA standards and procurement governance is required.

• Advanced proficiency in SAP.
• Experience with IDIS or equivalent logistics systems.
• Strong command of MS Office.
