Graduate Administration Internship Programme 2027/29

About the role

The KwaZulu-Natal Department of Economic Development, Tourism and Environmental Affairs is offering a 24‑month Graduate Internship Programme for the period 2027/29. The programme provides unemployed South African graduates with practical workplace experience across a wide range of functions – administration, finance, human resources, information technology, economic development, tourism, research, planning and environmental services. Interns will be placed in Durban, Pietermaritzburg or other locations throughout KwaZulu‑Natal and will receive a stipend throughout the placement.

Required profile

• 3‑year Degree (NQF 7) or equivalent qualification (Advanced Diploma NQF 7, National Diploma NQF 6, Honours/Postgraduate Diploma NQF 8) from a recognised university, university of technology or TVET college
• Unemployed South African graduate
• Must not have previously benefited from any government (national/provincial/municipal) internship programme
