About the role
The City of Tshwane is hiring a General Worker to help keep the workplace clean and hygienic and to assist in the operation and maintenance of the waste water treatment plant. The role involves physical labour and shift work.
Key responsibilities
- Maintain a clean and hygienic workplace
- Load and unload material and equipment
- Perform general work at the waste water treatment works
Required profile
- Ability to perform the duties and basic literacy
- Relevant experience at a waste water treatment plant is an added advantage
- Physical fitness and health, with the mobility to carry out physically demanding work
- Willingness and ability to work shifts as and when required
- Criminal record check and fingerprinting by the Tshwane Metro Police department at own cost
