General Worker Packer

About the role

The General Worker Packer supports the Promix department by ensuring products are packed safely and efficiently while adhering to all safety and operational standards. This position is essential for maintaining product quality and meeting production targets.

Key responsibilities

• Accurately pack products into containers or packaging materials according to specifications.
• Inspect products and packaging for quality and integrity.
• Keep the workspace clean, organized, and sanitized.
• Collaborate with team members to achieve production deadlines.
• Follow supervisor instructions and guidelines.
• Assist maintenance staff with troubleshooting as needed.
• Check all bottom and end seals for quality.
• Perform assigned sanitation duties.

Required profile

• Matric / Grade 12 qualification.
• 1 year experience in the milling industry.
• 6 months to 1 year experience as a packer.
• Ability to work effectively in a team and communicate clearly.
• Capacity to work under pressure, maintain focus and concentration.
• Good level of physical fitness; able to stand for long periods.
• Self‑motivated with minimal supervision and strong accountability.
