French‑Speaking Customer Service Agent – Cape Town

About the role

Hinduja Global Solutions (HGS) is seeking a French‑speaking Customer Service Agent to join its Cape Town contact centre. The role supports a Canadian shipping client, handling inbound enquiries from French‑language customers about parcel delivery, tracking, and service issues. The position is on‑site in Woodstock, Cape Town, and operates on a night shift schedule.

Key responsibilities

• Answer inbound calls and messages in French, providing courteous and professional assistance.
• Investigate delivery‑related queries, track parcels, and resolve issues efficiently.
• Communicate next steps and outcomes clearly to customers in French.
• Maintain accurate case notes and ensure compliance with quality standards.
• Strive for first‑contact resolution while meeting individual and team performance targets.

Required profile

• Fluent in French and English, both written and spoken.
• Matric qualification or equivalent contact‑centre experience.
• Strong empathy, professionalism, and ability to work in a fast‑paced environment.
• Willingness to work night shifts (3 pm – 6 am, Monday to Sunday).

Required skills

• Excellent verbal and written communication in French.
• Ability to investigate and resolve customer issues accurately.
• Attention to detail for case documentation.
