Forward Integration Engineer (AI Engineering)

About the role

PwC's SATIC (Business Application Consulting) team advises clients on implementing business application solutions, and this Senior Associate Forward Integration Engineer role sits at the intersection of enterprise systems integration, applied AI engineering and practical business application. Working from the Agentic Innovation Lab, which builds and scales AI-powered solutions, the engineer connects AI solutions with existing platforms using custom development and low-code/no-code tools, partnering with business stakeholders and Forward-Deployed Engineers to turn experiments into enterprise-grade applications.

Key responsibilities

• Integrate AI models and solutions with client systems, applications and data sources, using low-code/no-code platforms to speed delivery.
• Develop AI models tailored to client requirements and collaborate with Forward-Deployed Engineers, data scientists and engineers to build and deploy machine learning models, monitoring and fine-tuning them.
• Assess client needs and business challenges, train and support clients on implemented AI solutions, and document the development process for handover.
• Mentor junior engineers, stay current on AI trends and tools, and ensure compliance with AI ethics and data privacy standards.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Information Systems or equivalent experience.
• 4+ years of experience in programming, AI or machine learning.
• Track record leading AI projects from concept to deployment, including analysis, stakeholder alignment, planning, support, documentation and handover.
• Strong grasp of AI, ML, GenAI, LLMs, RAG, prompt engineering, NLP, computer vision, data science, statistics and visualization.
• Full-stack development experience and ability to explain AI concepts clearly to senior stakeholders.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Python; desired working knowledge of R, Java or similar languages.
• Experience integrating AI solutions with enterprise systems, APIs, cloud/MLOps tools and low-code/no-code platforms.
• Desired: Microsoft/Azure certifications.
