Financial Controller

About the role

This senior finance position is with a well‑established, stable organisation seeking to refresh its management team. The Financial Controller will lead end‑to‑end financial operations and partner with executive stakeholders to translate insights into strategy.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee daily accounting functions including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, payroll and revenue recognition.
• Lead month‑end and year‑end close processes to ensure accurate financial reporting.
• Manage cash flow, working capital and banking relationships.
• Consolidate budgets, monitor performance against forecasts and deliver executive‑level reporting packs.
• Implement and maintain internal controls, policies and compliance frameworks.
• Oversee tax compliance, statutory filings and audit processes.
• Lead, mentor and develop finance team members and managers.
• Partner with senior leadership on strategic planning and business performance.

Required profile

• Professional finance qualification such as CA.
• 5‑10+ years of progressive experience in financial management or accounting leadership.
• Strong knowledge of ERP systems and regulatory frameworks (IFRS/GAAP).
• Experience with financial automation tools or AI‑enabled finance platforms is advantageous.
• Excellent analytical, communication and leadership capabilities.
