Financial Accountant – Manufacturing (R500k‑R540k p.a.)

About the role

A detail‑oriented Financial Accountant is required to join a dynamic finance team within a fast‑paced manufacturing environment. The role focuses on financial control, compliance and reporting, offering the chance to make a meaningful impact on cashflow and tax processes.

Key responsibilities

• Cashflow Management – monitor daily cashflow, prepare and update forecasts, process payments via banking platforms and provide regular reporting to management.
• VAT & Tax Administration – assist with VAT return preparation and submissions, support tax compliance processes, respond to SARS queries and audit requests, and maintain accurate tax records.
• Accounting & Reconciliations – process month‑end and year‑end journals, reconcile balance‑sheet and general‑ledger accounts, perform bank, supplier and inter‑company reconciliations.
• Reporting – prepare monthly financial and operational reports, analyse variances, contribute to management reporting packs and submit STATSSA returns.

Required profile

• BCom Accounting or equivalent qualification.
• 2–4 years post‑qualification experience in general accounting.
• Completed Articles with SAICA or SAIPA.

Required skills

• Experience with SARS submissions and queries.
• VAT return preparation and submission.
