Financial Accountant

About the role

The Financial Accountant will join the Finance function of AMFRESH SA and will be responsible for delivering accurate monthly management accounts and supporting the annual audit and financial statement preparation. This role acts as the primary liaison for statutory compliance, tax filings, and group reporting initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the monthly and annual closing process, ensuring general ledger integrity and balance‑sheet reconciliations.
• Perform intercompany accounting, revenue and expense validation, and prepare group reporting packages.
• Oversee statutory compliance, including VAT, corporate tax, and transfer‑pricing filings.
• Coordinate the annual financial audit and compile the subsidiary reporting package for the group.
• Maintain treasury functions, cash‑flow forecasting, and liaise with banks on a day‑to‑day basis.
• Support bi‑monthly full‑year forecasts and annual budgeting for RSA entities.
• Lead the implementation of new ERP reporting tools and group reporting initiatives.

Required profile

• Relevant financial qualification (e.g., degree in Accounting or Finance).
• Minimum 5 years of finance experience, including exposure to IFRS (AFS) reporting.
• Fluent in Afrikaans and English, with strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Proven ability to meet tight weekly deadlines and work effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
