Finance Manager

About the role

Seeking a highly motivated, analytical and results‑driven Finance Manager to lead the finance department, overseeing all financial operations, ensuring compliance, managing reporting, budgeting and providing strategic guidance to support business growth.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare, analyse and present monthly, quarterly and annual financial reports to executive management.
• Develop, implement and manage annual operating budgets and rolling forecasts.
• Oversee daily cash‑flow management, liquidity monitoring and working‑capital optimisation.
• Ensure full compliance with South African financial legislation, tax regulations and IFRS.
• Coordinate internal and external audits and implement audit recommendations.
• Lead, mentor and develop the finance team, establishing departmental KPIs.
• Identify cost‑saving initiatives and drive operational efficiencies.
• Maintain accurate intercompany accounts and reconcile balances across group entities.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related field; professional designation (CA(SA), ACCA, CIMA, etc.) advantageous.
• Minimum 7 years of finance experience, including 3‑5 years in a Finance Manager or Senior Financial Accountant role.
• Proven experience managing a finance team and strong knowledge of South African tax legislation and IFRS.
• Experience in logistics, transport, courier or distribution sector is a plus.
