Fiduciary Officer – Complex Deceased Estates

About the role

The Fiduciary Officer will manage complex deceased estates for high‑net‑worth clients, ensuring precise compliance and seamless finalisation. This hybrid position combines technical depth with autonomy, working from our Cape Town CBD office and remotely.

Key responsibilities

• Take ownership of complex deceased estates from initial reporting through to final distribution and closure.
• Prepare liquidation and distribution accounts, calculate estate duty, compile tax documentation and liaise with SARS and the Master of the High Court.
• Manage estates that involve offshore assets and foreign beneficiaries, ensuring cross‑border compliance.

Required profile

• LLB, CFP® or STEP qualification / Advanced Diploma in Estate and Trust Administration.
• Minimum five years post‑qualification experience finalising complex deceased estates.
• Proven experience with HNW/UHNW estates, strong estate duty and tax knowledge, and exposure to offshore estates.
• Direct dealings with SARS, attorneys, conveyancers, banks and investment companies.
• Current residence in Cape Town.
