Expert Service Technician - AARD Mining Equipment

About the position

Join a global leader in mining technology as a specialized Service Technician. You will play a critical role in ensuring the operational excellence of AARD equipment on-site, providing high-level technical expertise and driving continuous improvement in demanding mining environments.

Main Missions

• Perform advanced diagnostics, fault finding, and root cause analysis on AARD machines (LHD, UV42, LPD).
• Execute scheduled maintenance and implement long-term technical solutions to prevent recurring failures.
• Provide technical coaching and skill development to mining site teams regarding machine repair and troubleshooting.
• Collaborate with Product Company engineering representatives to support product development and field testing.
• Build and maintain strong client relationships by promoting after-sales services and field support.
• Manage spare parts requests and report performance issues to management to optimize productivity.
• Ensure strict adherence to safety standards regarding vehicle maintenance and equipment storage.

Profile Required

• Grade 12 certificate with a valid N-qualification.
• Professional technical training (Fitter, Millwright, Earthmoving, Diesel, or Electrical).
• Minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience specifically with AARD equipment.
• Proven ability to work under pressure and handle complex technical challenges.
• Willingness to travel and flexibility to work in rotating shifts (day and night).

Required Skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite for reporting and planning.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills for client management and team coaching.
• Excellent organizational and planning capabilities.
