Experiential Learning & Graduate Placement Programme (18 months)

About the role

The Ba‑Phalaborwa Municipality is offering an 18‑month Experiential Learning programme followed by a 12‑month graduate placement for South African unemployed graduates aged 18 to 28. The initiative aims to provide work‑integrated learning across a range of technical and professional fields while supporting local economic development.

Key responsibilities

• Engage in structured work‑integrated learning activities for 18 months.
• Complete a 12‑month graduate placement within the municipality or its partner organisations.
• Attend training modules and assessments related to the chosen qualification.
• Apply learned skills on real‑world projects and contribute to service delivery.

Required profile

• Unemployed South African graduate, aged 18‑28, with no prior participation in an Experiential Learning or Placement programme.
• Clear criminal record and possession of a Matric certificate.
• Proof of residence in Ba‑Phalaborwa or surrounding area.
• Excellent spoken and written communication, organisational, interpersonal and time‑management abilities.
• Motivation letter, CV, certified ID copy and relevant qualification documents submitted as instructed.

Required skills

• A+ certification.
• N+ certification.
• MCSA / MCSE qualifications.
• National N2‑N6 certificates (e.g., Electrical, Carpentry, Plumbing, Public Management).
