About the role
We are looking for an enthusiastic Event Coordinator to manage the full lifecycle of birthday, banquet and other special events. You will act as the primary point of contact for clients and internal teams, ensuring each event runs smoothly from enquiry to execution.
Key responsibilities
- Coordinate all administrative functions related to Birthday Thrills, Banqueting and events, maintaining accuracy and efficiency.
- Manage event bookings from initial enquiry through to execution, handling amendments and finalisation.
- Communicate proactively with clients, group organisers and internal departments regarding event requirements.
- Conduct site inspections and respond to client queries and feedback.
- Capture and distribute event details to relevant departments.
- Maintain high levels of customer service throughout the booking and event process.
- Identify and maximise sales opportunities in line with company policies.
- Facilitate inter‑departmental communication to ensure seamless event delivery.
- Monitor and follow up on payments, quotations and confirmations.
- Work independently and collaboratively to deliver exceptional event experiences.
Required profile
- Matric (NQF 4) qualification.
- Strong numeracy skills (NQF 4).
- Excellent verbal and written English (NQF 4).
- At least one year of experience in a similar events coordination role.
Required skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
