Elementary Teacher – 3rd Grade

About the role

Lamphere Schools is seeking a dedicated 3rd‑grade elementary teacher for Edmonson Elementary School. The successful candidate will join a supportive team to deliver high‑quality instruction and foster student growth across academic, social, emotional, and behavioral domains.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, deliver, and assess 3rd‑grade curriculum in reading, writing, and mathematics using workshop models.
• Utilize student data to inform instruction and differentiate learning experiences.
• Create and implement lesson plans that address diverse classroom needs.
• Collaborate with colleagues, administrators, parents, and support staff to support student success.
• Maintain a safe, organized, and engaging classroom environment.
• Adapt schedules and instructional strategies flexibly as required.

Required profile

• Valid Michigan Elementary Teaching Certificate.
• Knowledge of elementary student expectations, including academic, social, emotional, and behavioral milestones.
• Experience with Reading, Writing, and Math workshop models.
• Proven ability to use student data to drive instruction.
• Strong commitment to education, reliability, punctuality, and consistent attendance.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work collaboratively.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Google Suite applications (Docs, Sheets, Slides, Forms) and online research tools.
