Driver Training Instructor – Johannesburg

About the role

The client seeks an experienced Driver Training Instructor to deliver both classroom theory and practical on‑road training for safer driving. The role involves engaging learners, assessing driver competence, planning routes and maintaining accurate training documentation.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver theoretical and practical driver training to individuals and groups, using clear and adaptable communication.
• Demonstrate defensive, advanced and situational driving techniques and assess learner understanding.
• Plan training routes, conduct driver evaluations and ensure compliance with road traffic legislation.
• Capture accurate training documentation, portfolio evidence and learner performance records.
• Represent the organisation professionally at client sites, maintaining high standards of safety and customer service.

Required profile

• Matric / Grade 12 qualification.
• Minimum 3 years’ experience in professional driving, driver training or the motoring industry.
• Valid EC driver’s licence with applicable PrDP (DG, P, G).
• Own reliable transport and ability to travel nationally.
• Strong verbal communication, presentation and facilitation skills.

Required skills

• Intermediate to advanced computer literacy.

What we offer

• Basic salary starting from R215,000 per annum, negotiable based on experience.
