Director of Academic Excellence (Remote)

About the role

2 Hour Learning is seeking a visionary leader to head its academic excellence function. You will translate learning‑science research into practical systems that enable students to achieve twice the learning velocity in just two hours a day. This remote senior position combines strategic oversight, operational rigor, and public advocacy for a disciplined, AI‑driven tutoring model.

Key responsibilities

• Develop academic frameworks that turn learning‑science principles into actionable curriculum, motivation, and application designs.
• Conduct execution reviews with Heads of Academics to keep school teams aligned, accountable, and results‑driven.
• Analyze data, interview stakeholders, and observe classroom practice to identify high‑impact barriers and recommend concrete interventions.
• Ensure strategic alignment through planning cycles, feedback mechanisms, and milestone monitoring.
• Represent 2 Hour Learning at keynote events, ministerial meetings, and other high‑profile forums to promote systemic transformation.

Required profile

• Advanced degree (Master’s or Ph.D.) in Learning Science, Educational Psychology, Instructional Design, or a related field.
• Minimum 7 years of experience in academic or EdTech leadership, managing formal teams of staff.
