Despatch Loader

About the role

The Despatch Loader is responsible for the efficient daily loading and off‑loading of bread at the warehouse site. The role ensures that products are handled safely, accurately, and in line with company standards.

Key responsibilities

• Load bread onto trucks according to the picking slip and pipeline loading sequence.
• Count trays, balance loads, and verify that trucks are correctly filled.
• Attend daily inventory communication (invocom) meetings.
• Maintain product quality during loading and enforce FIFO stock rotation.
• Report loading issues and performance metrics to management.
• Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and safety guidelines.

Required profile

• Grade 12 or equivalent qualification.
• Minimum of 3 months experience in a similar loading role within the FMCG sector.
• Understanding of organisational processes, in‑house systems, and business rules.
