Customer Experience Agent (Remote, Independent Contractor)

About the role

We are looking for a proactive Customer Experience Agent to serve as the first point of contact for inbound calls at self‑storage facilities. Working remotely, you will guide customers through rental inquiries, move‑in processes, and payment issues while delivering a seamless experience.

Key responsibilities

• Answer inbound calls and respond to customer inquiries via phone, email, SMS, and live chat.
• Provide information on rental rates, move‑in procedures, payments, and create new rentals.
• Navigate customers to their storage units using facility maps and digital tools.
• Make pricing adjustments, void payments, and prorate rent as needed.
• Utilize the internal platform Cubby, Google Docs, and Google Sheets to resolve issues accurately.
• Proactively retain customers who consider ending their rental.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years of customer service experience.
• Strong written and verbal English communication skills.
• Ability to follow scripts while personalising interactions.
• Self‑motivated and comfortable working independently in a remote setting.
