Contact Centre Agent

About the role

Our client, a leading organisation within the employee benefits sector, is seeking a professional and customer‑focused Contact Centre Agent to join their Johannesburg team. You will handle member and company queries by phone, provide accurate information and ensure each query is recorded, followed up and resolved.

Key responsibilities

• Handle incoming telephone queries from members and companies.
• Accurately record and log all calls received.
• Assist with claims‑related queries and provide relevant information.
• Utilise the Oculus document management system correctly.
• Forward queries to the relevant departments and provide feedback to members.
• Post and fax requested documentation.
• Assist companies with electronic submission of contribution information.
• Maintain accurate records and complete administrative tasks efficiently.

Required profile

• Grade 12 / Matric qualification.
• 1–2 years experience in a call centre, contact centre or customer service environment.
• Fluent in English and Afrikaans (knowledge of a second language is a plus).
• Strong telephone etiquette and customer‑service orientation.
• Basic understanding of employee benefit funds is advantageous.

Required skills

• Proficient use of the Oculus document management system.
• Computer literacy with good administrative abilities.
