Construction Site Manager

About the role

We are seeking a Construction Site Manager to lead daily operations on our residential and mixed‑use projects in the Johannesburg Metropolitan Area. This full‑time, on‑site position reports to senior project leadership and ensures projects are delivered safely, on schedule, and within budget.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee daily site operations and coordinate all team activities.
• Develop and manage construction schedules and project timelines.
• Ensure compliance with safety protocols and quality standards.
• Supervise subcontractors and monitor work progress.
• Track costs, budgets, and financial performance.
• Collaborate with project stakeholders to meet specifications.
• Identify and resolve on‑site challenges promptly.
• Maintain accurate documentation and reporting.

Required profile

• Proven expertise in site management and construction site management.
• Strong planning abilities with experience developing project timelines.
• Experience in cost control and budgeting.
• Excellent leadership, problem‑solving, and organizational skills.
• Knowledge of construction safety regulations and best practices.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
• Prior experience in large‑scale residential or mixed‑use developments (advantage).
• Proficiency with construction management tools and software (desirable).

Required skills

• Procore construction management software.
• Primavera P6 or MS Project for scheduling.
• Cost control and budgeting software.
• Familiarity with construction safety regulation platforms.
