Compliance Officer – Tax, Secretarial & FICA Support

About the role

An established accounting and tax practice is seeking a Compliance Officer to provide administrative support across Tax, Company Secretarial and Compliance departments. The role offers exposure to SARS, CIPC, FICA/FIC and general statutory compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Assist with SARS registrations, taxpayer updates and general tax compliance administration.
• Support Public Officer and Registered Representative appointments and amendments.
• Assist with company secretarial and CIPC‑related administration.
• Manage FICA/FIC compliance, including client verification and record‑keeping.
• Maintain organised electronic client files and compliance documentation.
• Liaise with clients regarding outstanding information and documentation.
• Provide general administrative support to the Tax, Secretarial and Salary Administration departments.

Required profile

• Previous administrative experience in accounting, tax, bookkeeping or professional services.
• Basic working knowledge of SARS eFiling.
• Understanding of FICA/FIC compliance and client verification processes.
• Experience with administrative functions related to SARS, CIPC, the Master’s Office or payroll administration is beneficial.
• Strong organisational and communication skills with high attention to detail.
• Own reliable transport and willingness to work full‑time onsite in Technopark, Stellenbosch.
