Community Operations Manager

About the role

The Community Operations Manager supports the Branch Manager in driving growth and implementing the local security strategy for Fidelity Services Group in Pietermaritzburg. The role oversees all operational and managerial functions, focusing on proactive crime reduction and client relationship building.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct proactive training for armed response and LSS officers, shifting culture from reactive to proactive.
• Build and maintain relationships with SAPS personnel, attend CPF, crime and community meetings.
• Record, analyse and report crime trends, and lead special operations to address identified trends.
• Develop and execute weekly proactive operations, visibility drives, and joint SAPS initiatives.
• Manage daily, weekly and monthly compliance, budgeting, payroll, fleet, firearms logistics and HR processes.
• Prepare and distribute monthly reports on proactive measures and their impact to stakeholders.

Required profile

• Matric qualification; tertiary qualification advantageous.
• Mid‑senior level experience in security or investigations.
• Firearm competency and valid PSIRA registration.
• Valid driver’s licence.
• Ability to work 24‑hour on‑call schedule and manage a team.
