Clinical Haematologist

About the role

Mediclinic Panorama is seeking a qualified Clinical Haematologist to join its multidisciplinary acute‑care team. This position offers a private‑practice environment within a leading South African hospital, serving patients from the Cape Town Metropole and beyond.

Key responsibilities

• Provide expert diagnosis, treatment and follow‑up for a wide range of haematological disorders.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses and laboratory staff to deliver integrated patient care.
• Manage referrals from regional and international sources, ensuring timely specialist input.
• Maintain accurate clinical records and contribute to departmental audits and research.
• Participate in teaching and mentorship of junior medical staff where required.

Required profile

• Medical degree with specialist qualification in Haematology.
• Registration with the Health Professions Council of South Africa (or equivalent).
• Proven experience in an acute‑care or private‑practice setting.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work within a high‑performing team.
